HEY YOU! YEAH YOU! PERSON WHO JUST CLICKED ON THAT ENVELOPE THINGY (OR POSSIBLY IS JUST VIEWING MY PAGE IDK). CLICK THIS JOURNAL OR LINK OR WHATEVER! I WANNA SPEAK WITH YOU FOR JUST A SEC! 

So, now that I have your undivided attention, I would like to give a small speech about suicide. 

    Don't commit suicide. Don't ever even think about committing suicide. You are an amazing person that can NEVER be replaced. You were put here for a reason! Don't just throw away your life thinking that you're worthless or that the world is just too terrible or that no one will miss you when you're gone. People WILL miss you. People DO love you and ALWAYS will love you. No matter how bad things seem, they WILL get better. I can promise you that. And yeah, the world isn't that great a place, but that doesn't mean everyone in it is terrible. If you ever need someone to talk to or something, there are a ton of people who will listen to you, me included! I may not be able to help much, but I certainly will listen! 

    And, no offense, but suicide seems kind of cowardly to me. Not that the people who have done it are cowardly, but the act itself. It seems like the easy way out. That someone is just giving up. Well yeah, it might be the easy way out for YOU, but what about your family and friends? You've just taken away someone that they care about, just ripped them out of their lives forever. That's really selfish. Things aren't always going to be peachy-keen. That's just something you have to deal with. That's just LIFE. And think about this, what if you were supposed to go on and find the cure to cancer? You wouldn't be able to if you killed yourself, would you? What if your future child ended up being the President of the U.S. or some other country? There won't be a future child if you kill yourself! You have NO IDEA what the future will hold so don't just throw it all away. 

    Also, don't put others down. Don't bully someone else because you think it's fun or you feel that others deserve to suffer like you or whatever garbage you tell yourself. Bullying is NOT okay. And just in case you (for some stupid reason) believe that bullying has nothing to do with suicide, here's some statistics for ya:
          -Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University 

          -A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying

    And one last thing; If you ever see or talk to someone who seems down or sad or depressed, talk to them. Make sure they're all right. Smile at them. Tell them that they can talk to you. Do whatever it takes to help them be happy again. Who knows, something as simple as a hello or a smile could save a person's life.
 

I  know that this isn't the best suicide speech out there, but I just want you all to know that you are all amazing people and that there is no way in hell that anyone will ever be able to change my mind on the subject. And like I said earlier, if you need someone to complain to or someone to listen to you or someone to rant to or whatever, I'm here. I may not offer the best solutions, I may not give the best answers, and I might not know what the heck to say sometimes, but you can betcha-by-golly that I'll listen! 

So many thing is come to mind when I think of that movie. Most of them unpleasant. It's not that the movie was bad, but it DIDN'T FOLLOW THE BOOK AT ALL! In my opinion, no one was truly in character except for Magnus and Alec. They were the only two who actually seemed like their character. Everyone else just screwed it all to effing Hell.

ATTENTION! SPOILER ALERT!

First off, the movie made it seem like Hodge was a good guy, what with him saving Isabelle and Simon. WRONG!  In the book, Hodge just left Alec to die! He just walked out of the Institute and didn't look back!

Then, THEY FREAKING TOOK OUT THE DEMON BIKES!! I MEAN COME ON!! WHAT THE EVERLIVING HECK?! THAT WAS THE BEST PART! AND THEY LEFT OUT SIMON BECOMING A RAT! I MEAN WHO DOES THAT?!

They also made the portal be in the Institute. NOPE! WRONG! INCORRECT! The portal was in Madame Dorthea's house diptards!

In  my opinion, they also made it seem like Clary and Jace's relationship went too fast. In the books, it actually seemed like they were falling in love, but in the movie, it was all like, "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy! But I see demons, so kiss me baby!" Okay, not like that exactly, but it seemed like they just rushed. A better thing for that would be, "Clary-Hey, I see you and demons and stuff. Jace- Wow, that's amazing! I'm going to fall in love with you about 20 minutes into the movie!" I'm serious. In the first 30 minutes, they were already falling.

Those were some of the main things that ticked me off. Oh wait, I forgot one.

WHY. THE. HECK. DID. ALMOST. ALL. THE. CHARACTERS. HAVE. BRITISH. ACCENTS?! Why?! I thought this story took place in AMERICA! Even Clary's mom had a British accent. Why did everyone have a British accent?! I'm not hating on the accents or anything, but come on!

Okay, now I'm done. But there were just so many things that they either left out or changed. It's ridiculous! Now, if I hadn't read the books, then I might've adored the movie. But, sadly, I did read the books.

I really can't decide if I hated it or liked it.

I have a theory that whoever directed the first Percy Jackson film also directed the Mortal Instruments film. (The Percy Jackson one was a mockery of the books. I absolutely refuse to see the 2nd one the first was so bad.)
